ABOUT THE THEATRE

[Gnawing away the standards, crushing the boundaries, burning in the essence]

Nafta Theatre is an alternative independent theatre established in Kharkiv in 2018.

“Nafta” is an open cultural platform without a fixed cast, which invites artists from different disciplines who share common values to collaborate. “Nafta” is about openness, experiments, new forms and creative synergy. Our goal is to create a high-quality socially responsible artistic product that inspires society to change.

F.A.Q.

[We collected the most frequently asked questions and answered them in one shot]

  • How do I become a member of the theatre troupe? Is there a casting call?

We hold castings for actors when we create new performances. Information about them is always announced on our social media, so stay tuned! And if you are a musician, artist, choreographer or performer and have an idea for an art project, contact us by email or social media, and we might be able to create something meaningful, important and new together!

  • Where can I buy a ticket for a play?

There are 4 ways to buy a ticket:● Through our website or social media (using the WayForPay service)● On the website or at the booking office of the “Internet Bilet” service● Through the Telegram of our theater ● Call and book through the administrator +38 (050) 509 34 35

  • Can I buy a ticket before entering the performance?

You can buy a ticket on the day of the performance at the entrance to the hall, if there are any seats available at that time. If there are not, we will be able to offer standing seats for a donation to our current fundraising for the Ukrainian Defence Forces.

  • Can I enter the performance if I'm late?

Well.... what can be said?(((We will let you in if you are no more than 15 minutes late. We understand that there are different circumstances. However, we keep the right to seat you not in the seat you have on your ticket, but in the one closer to the entrance (so as not to disturb other spectators who arrived on time). And if all the seats are already taken, you will have to stand.

  • Is it allowed to take photos and videos at the performance?

Yes! Take photos, record videos (no longer than 15 seconds), post them on social media and tag us. But remember to mute your device during the performance and take photos without a flash, please.

  • Will you let me take a photo on stage after the performance?

Why not? If you inform the administrator, it is quite possible.

  • Can I bring food to the performance?

If you didn't have time to eat the banana or drink the coffee you just bought, we won't make you throw it away, of course. Just don't leave any rubbish in the hall, please. BUT please do not bring chips, sweets, meatballs or anything with a smell or a ‘noisy’ wrapper, as it distracts from the performance. Let's respect each other's personal space.

  • Is there a theater dress code?

No, of course not! You can come in whatever outfit you feel comfortable in. The main thing in the theatre is the performance, the meanings and your feelings, not the ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ appearance.
